Why did we start Code_connect?
At Marameo Design, we love how the internet and remote working have given opportunities to passionate individuals to fulfil their dreams, no matter their location, education or social status.
Nowadays, all you need is a laptop, an internet connection, a thirst for learning and a dedicated passion to learn new skills like web development, UI design, digital marketing and more.
That’s why we officially open code_connect: a developer mentorship program aimed at supporting young developers getting ready to enter the job market.
Entry Requirements

General entry requirements
- A computer in working order
- Unlimited Internet access
- Good English proficiency, both written and spoken
- An hunger and thirst for knowledge
- Humble and hard working
- Open to share knowledge with course-mates
- Open with feedbacks and open to share your opinions/difficulties

- Have a local environment setup and know how to push-pull code through GIT
- A Github account
- Have completed the entry assignment
Program Structure
The Code_connect Mentorship Program is a self paced program designed to fit within your lifestyle

We require
- A minimum of 10 hrs/week commitment for calls, assignments and learning activities.
- Continuous availability for 3 months of the program
- Continuous contact ad engagement with the other mentees and our mentors
- Show utmost respect for our mentors, our company values and the free time we dedicate to you

How do you know

This program is for you if you want to learn:
- Learn development life-cycle best practices (not only coding)
- WordPress and Drupal custom web development
- How to code not how to build websites with site builders like Elementor / Bakery / Divi etc
- Best practice coding standards
- Performance and Speed Optimisation
- Accessibility compliance
- Component based development, both frontend and backend
- SASS, CSS, HTML, TWIG, REACTJS, PHP, Vanilla JS
- How to work in a passionate, high achieving team

This program is NOT for you if:
- You build or want to build websites with site builders (Elementor, Divi, Bakery etc)
- You don’t have at least 10 hrs each week to solely dedicate to your professional growth and development
- You are just applying for fun – we take this program very seriously and we only want to hear only from people that have the highest level of dedication and passion
Program outcome
At Marameo, we are connected with a number of digital agencies both in Australia, USA and UK which from time to time need to hire new developers.
At the end of the program, we will share the details of our most performing mentees with them, helping them to be employed by a vetted digital agency.
At Marameo Design we are always looking for young, motivated and passionate developers to join our team – if you show the right traits and thirst for learning, you’ll have the opportunity to join the Marameo team at the end of the program.
All mentees will receive a certificate of completion that can be added to their CV. We will be happy to provide any reference you might need.
Entry Assignments
We require 2 entry assignments which will be reviewed by our professional tech team.
1. A quick 1min video about yourself:

2. Complete the technical assignment. This will take you between 2 and 4hrs depending on your experience and the section you decide to code:
- Go to this Figma file
- Read the instructions
- Complete the assignment on your local
- Upload to your Github account
