The Sydney Fringe came to us after already having their website partially developed by another firm.
They wanted us to take their website from being a skeleton structure with a few simple pages, to a richly-featured content management system in Drupal. http://thesydneyfringe.com now has the following capabilities:
- Artists can submit their own content on simple forms which is then automatically transformed into formatted pages and fed into a search system.
- Simple ways to collect private data from artists via the website.
- Festival staff and artists can submit news items; these are then fed into various news feeds on the site and can automatically be submitted to twitter if needed. A Twitter feed is also pulled through onto the website.
- The site hosts a venue guide including Google maps that are automatically geolocated via address fields.
- Festival staff can easily send mass emails via the site to users including artists and marketing contacts, with control to decide which group receives what.
- A fine-grained banner advertisement system.
- Wysiwyg editor and simple image upload features so that festival staff can easily maintain the website.
Testimonial:
You've absolutely gone WAY above the call of duty for the Fringe, and don't think that your enormous efforts haven't been noticed and appreciated - we LITERALLY could not have done this without you.
